At 9:11 a.m., a male subject was yelling, threatening people, and throwing donuts at employees. Criminal charges were declined, but he was formally trespassed by the manager.

At 9:50 a.m., a motorist was cited for speeding in a school zone. 

At 11:27 a.m., there was a report of theft from the Grocery Outlet of items such as beauty and personal hygiene supplies and a wireless keyboard. Items were valued at $89.

At 3:52 p.m., a report of a child who missed her bus and got lost. She was later reunited with her mother.

At 9:39 a.m., a vehicle was found on a curb with fresh-looking damage near a knocked-over garbage can. It was later found out the crash happened over the weekend. 

At 10:41 a.m., a report of students from Dallas High School going to a house across the street from the school and vaping during school hours.

At 12:36 p.m., Tyler Danenger was lodged for harassment.

At 3:44 p.m., Joseph Beauchamp was lodged for disorderly conduct.

At 4:20 p.m., a small grass fire broke out on Southeast Holman Avenue. Dallas Fire Department handled the fire.

At 10:22 p.m., two shots were heard near Southwest Levens Street. There were no other reports of the shots heard.

At 7:54 a.m., a female subject was picked up by police on a state-wide felony warrant for weapons charges. When police arrived at the Polk County Jail with the subject, they were informed to let her go because she already had a court date and time. Police transported the subject back to her car on East Ellendale Avenue.

At 4:04 p.m., someone rummaged through a vehicle at the Ellendale Manor Apartments and stole about $60 of items. There were no cameras at the location. 

At 4:43 p.m., a Honda Ruckus with California plates was stolen from Dallas Mobile Home Village.

At 6:42 a.m., an unknown male suspect stole thousands of dollars’ worth of items from the Old Mill Feed and Garden, including Bench-made knives, machetes, axes and other numerous styles of knives. 

At 10:20 a.m., Jamie Drake was lodged for theft.

At 1:08 a.m., a report of a large group arguing and nearly starting a fight at Rabbits Burgers Bourbon and Beer on Southwest Court Street. Most were disbursed before the police arrived. 

At 4:18 a.m., a subject was found smoking near the entrance of Lyle Elementary School while trying to get a Wi-Fi connection. He was told not to smoke on school property. 

At 12:08 p.m., a female motorist was having trouble starting her car on Southeast Uglow Avenue at the Redwood Court Apartments. She thought someone had damaged the ignition. It turned out the battery was dead. Her brother was able to jump-start the vehicle. 

At 12:17 p.m., a report of a black Honda CRV stolen from the Greenway Mobile Home Park on LaCreole Drive sometime overnight.

At 2:44 p.m., a male subject was found in the brush at Ash Creek near the Oregon Pac Manufacturing. The subject claimed he was sitting there for five days without food or water, waiting for someone to find him.

At 5:26 a.m., Andrew Rolson was lodged at the Polk County Jail for harassment. 

At 10:31 a.m., an 11-year-old skipped school and was found hanging out at McDonald’s. His mother was contacted, and he was turned over to his grandparents.

At 11:29 a.m., a report of a counterfeit $10 bill used at the Dallas Fuel and Food Mart.

At 10:06 p.m., a verbal domestic broke out between twin brothers on Southeast Dimick Street. One brother had a bloody nose but said it was from the door while trying to get back into the apartment.

At 11:02 p.m., another call about the twin brothers fighting, which police witnessed when they pulled up to the apartments. They went inside and would not answer the door. The neighbors were advised not to engage with them.

At 8:36 a.m., there was a report of a dangerous driver going through the school zone near Dallas High School on Southeast Holman Avenue. The juvenile driver said he accidentally peeled out but was driving fine otherwise. He was warned that police were going to be patrolling traffic and that he would not receive a warning if he were to be pulled over again.

At 12:18 p.m., a report of a two-vehicle crash on Hankel Street. One driver was cited for careless driving.

At 12:41 p.m., Vicky June Hurley, aka Vicky Villa, a transient woman, was found defecating in the parking lot across the street from Starlite Lanes Bowling Alley. She was later found inside, where she was arrested for theft, assault on a peace officer and resisting arrest.

At 2:25 p.m., a man backed his wheelchair into a patrol car on Southeast Court Street, possibly leaving a scratch, but it was too minor to know. 

At 6:14 p.m., a T-bone crash occurred on Northwest Jasper Street. Police witnessed the collision.

At 8:48 a.m., an eighth grader was thought to have consumed a THC gummy at LaCreole Middle School.

At 3:35 a.m., a report of a vehicle struck elk on Highway 99 near milepost 53. A deputy found the elk was not blocking the road and was injured but still alive. The deputy dispatched it.

At 9:04 a.m., a male subject was arrested at a residence in the 2800 block of Independence Highway for two outstanding warrants out of Polk and Yamhill counties. He was lodged at Polk County Jail.

At 1:57 p.m., a resident in the 3400 block of Frontier Drive reported his wife stole his car to go to a beauty salon in South Salem. A deputy told the complainant the car could not be reported stolen because they are married.

At 5:38 p.m., a report of squatters at a residence in the 5100 block of Red Prairie Road that is owned by the Bank. U.S. Marshall service has interest in the property as well. The squatters were given a day to vacate the property or face trespassing charges.

At 6:32 p.m., a report of three juveniles between 7- and 9-years-old riding quads on Cochrane Lane near Oakdale Road without helmets. A deputy was unable to locate the youths.

At 6:42 p.m., deputies responded to a report in the 5100 block of Kings Valley Highway of a female subject with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. She was declared deceased six minutes after arriving at West Valley Hospital.

At 10:18 p.m., a report of a window broken out of vehicle parked along Yamhill River Road near Fort Hill Road. Nothing was taken.

At 10:23 p.m., a report of a low speed rear-end crash due to the lead car slowing for deer in the road in the 7000 block of Red Prairie Road. The second driver was cited for driving uninsured.

At 11:42 p.m., a report of a sleeping bag on the side of the road with a person possibly in it on Highway 22 near milepost 4. A deputy located the sleeping bag and there was in fact a person in it. He woke up and told the deputy he should only be there for about another hour until his ride arrives.

At 7:30 a.m., a report of shots heard fired on Hoffman Road near James Street in Independence. A deputy arrived on scene and did not see anyone or hear any shots.

At 11:29 a.m., a deputy responded to a vehicle crash on Highway 99 near milepost 22. The deputy stayed on scene to provide traffic control while Oregon State Police investigated.

At 1:10 p.m., a 2-year-old reported missing was found hiding in a closet in the 22600 block of Highway 18.

At 1:34 p.m., a resident in the 16800 block of Oakdale Road reported he thought he lost his Smith & Wesson 9mm gun. He called back later to report he found it.

At 3:59 p.m., a female subject in the 7500 block of Wallace Road was cited and released for three outstanding warrants out of Marion, Linn and Yamhill counties, and for driving while suspended - misdemeanor and for failure to carry and present a license.

At 4 p.m., a female subject in the 7500 block of Wallace Road was cited and released for outstanding warrants, for driving while suspended – misdemeanor and for failure to carry/present.

At 4:45 p.m., a report of mailboxes broken into on Andrea Drive near Eola Drive.

At 9:35 p.m., a report of a fight between two female inmates in the 800 block of Jefferson Street. One of the subjects was charged with harassment.

At 11:02 p.m., a report of a Toyota Camry stolen with keys taken from inside a house in the 7900 block of Wallace Road. The likely suspect was a subject who ran from a traffic stop in the area and was seen near this location at about the time the car went missing. Also stolen was a chainsaw and leaf blower.

At 2:09 a.m., a deputy assisted Monmouth Police on a disturbance at Jack’s Pub in the 400 block of Main Street. Upon arrival the crowd was loud but not aggressive. Apparently, there were some near fights prior to arrival. Members of the football team were angry because they were not served alcohol due to their intoxication level.

At 5:32 a.m., a motorist was cited for failure to obey traffic signals on the Dallas Cutoff near Rickreall Road.

At 10:32 a.m., a deputy checked on a vehicle in the roadway with a broken axel/tire rod. A tow was in route and no help was needed from law enforcement.

At 4:32 p.m., deputies responded to a 911 hangup call in the 17400 block of Richardson Road. Deputies responding to the scene and ended up performing CPR on a 73-year-old male subject. He was later pronounced deceased by medics.

At 3:11 p.m., a kayaker reported observing a backpack and a number of items including a drug kit with multiple hypodermic needles laying out on the shore of the Willamette River near rivermilepost 80. Deputies located the backpack, cleaned the mess up including the needles and seized the backpack for destruction.

At 5:41 p.m., residents in the 500 block of Hawthorne Avenue were warned about burning dry brush in the ditch in front of their house and could face charges of reckless burning.

At 11:07 p.m., a resident of Falls City reported from Main Street that her brother was missing.

At 12:24 a.m., PCSO received an alert to be on the lookout for a driver that was reportedly suicidal and homicidal. Deputies located the vehicle on Northwest 46th Place and conducted a high risk stop. Salem Police were at the location as well and took the driver into custody.

At 7 a.m., a motorist was stopped for speeding 72 mph in a 55-mph zone on Highway 22 near milepost 17 and for failure to maintain lane. The driver showed multiple signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of an intoxicant.

At 7:30 a.m., a report of a single vehicle crash into a field in the 11000 block of Corvallis Road.

At 7:30 a.m., a report of a single vehicle crash into a ditch in the on Corvallis Road near Oak Hill Road.

At 9:19 a.m., a report of a hit and run on Grand Ronde Road near Salmon River Highway. The motorist reported a maroon sedan drove into the side of him, forcing him to hit the curb then sped off west on Highway 18.

At 10:42 a.m., a report of a blue Perception brand Swiftie model kayak and two oars stolen from a front porch in the 9000 block of Wallace Road. Total loss was valued between $300 to $600.

At 9:12 p.m., a male subject was found charging his phone inside the Seventh Adventist Church in the 200 block of Main Street in Falls City. He was cited and released on an outstanding warrant.

At 9:42 p.m., deputies responded to a physical domestic dispute in the 3200 block of Caribou Court. A male subject was taken into Juvenile Court on a harassment charge.

At 11:33 p.m., a report of a Honda Talon side-by-side stolen in the 6600 block of Frank Road.

At 8:16 a.m., a report of a suspicious male subject at the Fay Wilson Park in Falls City walking around with a hatchet. A deputy was unable to locate any subjects carrying a hatchet.

At 8:52 a.m., a report of a vehicle that was broken into while its owner was attending a wedding Green Villa in Independence. Damage to the window was estimated at $275. A wallet was stolen, with contents, valued at $150.

At 6:21 p.m., a report of a crash on Pacific Highway near Stevenson Road where a mattress and frame blew out of the back of a pickup truck due to high winds. A car behind the truck was unable to avoid the frame, causing damage to the car’s front end.

At 6:36 p.m., a report of a single-vehicle, rollover crash on Stapleton Road near Talmadge Road. The driver suffered minor injuries.

At 7:03 p.m., a report of a single vehicle non-blocking non-injury crash in the 8100 block of Oak Grove Road. The driver lost control when swerving to avoid a deer.

At 7:48 p.m., someone found a brown, male Chihuahua about a mile west of Highway 223 on Gardner Road. It had no tags, a black collar and no chip.

At 3:36 a.m., a deputy came across a vehicle in the 3300 block of Coville Road with an occupant asleep inside. The deputy did not wake the occupant.

At 8:07 a.m., a male Chihuahua mix with a studded collar was found in the 1000 block of Bowserville Road.

At 9:37 a.m., a deputy responded to a two-vehicle crash near the 2500 block of Ellendale Avenue and stayed on scene until Oregon State Police took over the investigation.

At 9:52 a.m., a report of struck deer in the 800 block of Pioneer Road. A deputy found a juvenile deer in the ditch and dispatched it with a duty weapon.

At 11:40 a.m., a deputy was flagged down by a resident involved in a domestic dispute in the 25200 block of Yamhill River Road. While awaiting backup, a dog ran out of the house and bit the deputy on the leg. The male subject involved in the dispute was arrested.

At 2:31 p.m., a Report of a small black dog in the middle of Clow Corner Road and Riddell Road. A deputy was unable to locate the dog.

At 4:52 p.m., a resident came into the Polk County Sheriff’s Office to report his wood carved owl was stolen out of his driveway that has a total value of $600.

At 7:55 p.m., a report of a custom built, gold ring with three diamonds and an elk shed design custom engraved into it, stolen from a residence in the 15300 block of May Road.

At 8:31 p.m., a resident in the 1600 block of James Howe Road reported someone was shooting their gun nearby after dark.

At 10:38 p.m., a stolen Talon side by side was recovered at a residence in the 16600 block of Brown Road.

At 10:41 p.m., a report of an unlawful use of a laser against an aircraft near Suver Road and Highway 99. All units were on priority calls so deputies were unable to respond.

At 10:03 a.m., a resident in the 20200 block of Kerber Road reported a theft of items two nights in a row. The suspect also attempted to steal a truck rack but had no luck.

At 10:39 a.m., a report of a domestic disturbance in the 3400 block of Frontier Drive. When deputies arrived, there was no one home.

At 5:33 p.m., a contractor working on a property in the 6500 block of Rickreall Road reported that there had been someone staying at the property and that there was a trailer parked on the property that did not belong. Deputies no persons on the property but did find a U-Haul trailer reported stolen out of Hillsboro.

At 5:31 p.m., a deputy responded to a report of a fight between two inmates at the jail in the 800 block of Jefferson Street. As neither subject were cooperative in giving statements and both had physical injuries, the deputy charged both with assault 4.

At 7:17 p.m., a report of a domestic disturbance between two male subjects in the 3200 block of Caribou Court. One subject was charged with harassment and criminal mischief.

At 7:23 p.m., a resident in the 800 block of Perrydale Road reported finding a catalytic convert sawed off a Toyota.

At 7:55 p.m., a motorist was cited for speeding 85 mph in a 55-mph zone in the 5000 block of Salem Dallas Highway.

At 11:33 p.m., a deputy located and discarded a tarp reported in the median on Highway 22 near milepost 17.

At 12:50 a.m., a vehicle stopped for expired registration on Mill Street near Levens Street. The driver was cited for driving while suspended, failure to install an ignition interlock device and for driving uninsured. The vehicle was impounded.

At 4:55 a.m., a motorist was stopped on Rickreall Road near Ford Street for failure to obey traffic signs. The driver was driving while suspended - violation and had a cite and release failure to appear warrant out of Salem Municipal Court. The driver was cited for both violations and the warrant.

At 8:21 a.m., an employee at U-Haul in the 2600 block of Salem Dallas Highway reported the business’s brand new black $40+ spray nozzle hose in the middle of the roadway. She then noticed a 6-gallon bucket under a U-Haul truck that was full of gas. It appeared that someone cut the hose, siphoned the gas into another container and took 11 gallons of gas.

At 8:48 a.m., a report of a very friendly lab mix got out from a residence in the 1100 block of Fairview Street and followed a student on his way to school. After a deputy took custody of the dog, the owners called in a short time later and the deputy dropped the dog off with them.

At 5:38 p.m., a report of a two-vehicle, t-bone style crash on Corvallis Road near Buena Vista Road. The driver that lost control going 50-mph into a curve in a 25-mph zone caused the collision and was issued a written warning for speeding.

At 11:23 p.m., a deputy responded to a driving complaint about a motorist unable to maintain their lane. The driver was located and stopped on Highway 99 near milepost 62. After performing poorly on a field sobriety test, the driver was arrested for reckless driving and for driving under the influence of an intoxicant. The driver later registered a BAC of .17%.

Michael Alfrey, 30, was arrested on Sept. 11 on an outstanding warrant.

Jose Nunez Manzo, 36, was arrested on Sept. 8 for driving while suspended.

Barrie Curl, 58, was arrested on Sept. 10 for harassment.

Thomas Birchfield, 24, was arrested on Sept. 11 for driving under the influence of an intoxicant.

Nathan Kelly, 45, was arrested on Sept. 13 on an outstanding warrant.

Levi Emminger, 36, was arrested Sept. 14 on an outstanding warrant and for interfering with a police officer.
